Driving and parking safety
The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.
As a parent or carer, it’s your responsibility to get your child to and from school safely. Student safety is our priority.
Keep our school community safe by:
- driving and parking safely, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
- being a good role model
- never calling your child from across the road
- using the safest place to cross the road.
When driving and parking near our school, please:
- ensure you park safely in school zones, children to exit vehicles curb side
- follow speed signs - 40km/hour during the hours of 8:00am-9.30am and 2.30pm-4:00pm on weekdays
- do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school
- do not park illegally as parking rangers regularly inspect our streets
- please use the crossing, we have a crossing supervisor most days.
Discuss with your child how to be safe when:
- walking, in the car, waiting for, travelling on, and getting off the bus
- riding bikes, scooters and skateboards.
